In the midst of summer comes the need to refresh, reorganize, and regroup! That’s why we’ve developed a six week series dedicated to detoxing our lives .
Starting with Declutter Week, our first seven days pave the way for the rest of the summer. By focusing on the surroundings within our homes and workspaces, we begin the process of healing our bodies and minds. It may not be easy to keep a tidy home, but the difference it can make for our well-being is drastic. Therefore, we challenge each of you to begin our detox series by taking the next week to restore your homes to a restful and organized state.
For each day of the week, choose one category of space to clean (Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom, Closet, Living Room, Garage, Office). Approach each space separately and with the full intention of decluttering the room, using the following questions to guide your work:
- Is this something I still like/enjoy?
- Does it fit my current style?
- Has it been used in the past year?
- Is it worn out?
- Is it truly something I need?
By focusing on one room a day and asking these questions, you truly have the power to make your home a more positive and uplifting space. Not only will you feel an increased sense of happiness, calmness, and restfulness, your newly decluttered space may even boost your desire to exercise and sleep better too ;) Sounds good, right?
