Healthy Holiday Travel List

Healthy Holiday Travel List

Traveling during the holidays can be difficult, both mentally and physically.  With long days in the car or at the airport, we tend to stray from our healthy lifestyles, eating and drinking whatever is most convenient.  However, with a little preparedness, your trip can be filled with good choices!  Whether you are traveling by land or air, we have a list of foods to get you there in the healthiest way!

SNACKS

String Cheese

Almonds

Pretzels and Hummus

Beef Jerky

Protein Bars

Fruit and Nut Bars

Popcorn

Nut butter packs

Tuna and Crackers (Try mixing with an on-the-go guacamole, for a healthier tuna salad!)

FRUITS AND VEGGIES

Clementines

Grapes

Apples Slices

Dried Fruits

Fruit Squeezes

Carrots

Celery

Snap Peas

Kale Chips

 * If you need dipping ideas, try buying on-the-go containers of ranch, guacamole, hummus, or nut butter!

DRINK LOTS OF WATER

Water is key to staying healthy during a long day of travel.  It might mean extra bathroom breaks, but it will give you the energy and hydration you need to get through your day!  Plus having to stop the car or stand for the restroom gives you a chance to stretch your legs and move your body.

*If you are traveling by air, remember to bring a reusable water bottle.  Make sure its empty through security and fill it up on the other side! Most airports today have water stations near the gates to allow for refills!

Not only are these items perfect for a long trip in the car, but they are air-friendly too!  Just remember to keep anything considered liquid (hummus, nut butter, guacamole, fruit squeezes, etc.) under 3.4 fluid ounces, that way you are TSA approved!

Go get em' ladies!
